We could start with the parents of the boy. But this would take too long. So we jump to the outcome: A guy who does not have any kind of empathy nor did he ever learn how to deal with his own emotions. If someone makes him angry he throws a stone through their window – at night, when nobody can see him, because he is so scared of the world and the people in there. To make himself feel better he smokes a lot of stuff and sleeps all day long. A complete loser.
Now. The princess enters the floor. Young of age and a foreigner in the country. The parents are far and she is still finding her way to deal with the world.
The monster sees his victim to take control of a piece of this planet, to make himself feel better whatever the costs are for someone else. So he tells the princess that she is alone, that she only has him, that she needs to follow his rules and that she needs to be available whenever he wants something, day and night. Most important: Always show your respect in front of the king! And let everyone see how much you respect him. She finds herself in a prison of the mind, her very own thoughts controlled by him.
But she grows up. She starts to look around her. She starts to see what is happening to her. But she also knows what it would mean to walk away – it would be more than a stone in the window. She is scared of walking away as nobody knows what he might do. The prison of the mind turned into a physical prison.
The monster feels the change. The monsters feels the loss of control. The monster gets angry. First he tries to get control back, some word magic and some psycho war. But she grew up, she sees what is happening and the distance grows. So he explodes. He “becomes evil because she became evil”.
She finds her flat trashed, important documents stolen, messages to everyone she knows about what kind of whore she is, what evil she did and that everyone should stay away from her. He unleashes hell on her.
The queen cleans the flat, removes all the letters he glued to the wall. Removes the traces of disrespect. She realizes she has friends. She realizes she is not alone after all. The queen walks through hell and keeps her head up.
She became the queen. He always was the monster.
